Local Coronavirus Updates, Policies & Procedures from Tahoe Rental Company

Lake Tahoe spans two states, California and Nevada, making our destination unique and vibrant. However, it's important to know the differing state mandates depending on which side of the border your vacation rental resides.

North Lake Tahoe California Information

On June 15, California officially opened after over a year of restrictions and closures due to the pandemic.  The California mask mandate after June 15 allows fully vaccinated individuals to do almost everything they did pre-pandemic. Those not vaccinated are still required to wear a mask in indoor public settings, which includes grocery stores, shops, restaurants, movie theaters, and other indoor businesses. It's important to know that businesses still have the right to require that everyone wear a mask inside their property.

Mask requirements have been extended through September 13 for those using public transportation.

North Lake Tahoe Nevada Information

On July 30, 2021 Nevada announced a Declaration of Emergency Directive, including Washoe County, requiring all persons in counties with high community transmission rates to wear face coverings in all public settings and spaces regardless of vaccination status.

This follows a July 27, 2021 CDC announcement recommending that everyone, including fully vaccinated individuals, wear a mask to prevent the spread of the Delta variant.

To slow the spread of this virus, we ask that you continue to follow safety guidelines.
