Tahoe’s biggest winter celebration is back for another year—and it’s bigger, brighter, and snowier than ever. North Lake Tahoe SNOWFEST brings ten days of mountain-town magic to life with more than 50 events, from family favorites and local traditions to wild après-ski parties and fundraising for great local causes. Since 1982, this volunteer-powered festival has united locals and visitors alike in a shared love of snow, community, and good times.

North Lake Tahoe SNOWFEST

The schedule includes everything from Gar Woods’ Kickoff Party and the legendary Polar Bear Swim, to pancake breakfasts, dog pulls, ice sculpting competitions, and live music at local favorites like Alibi Ale Works and Sunnyside Restaurant. And don’t miss the Tahoe City SNOWFEST Street Faire on Saturday, February 28 from 11 AM to 1:30 PM—the reimagined version of the beloved parade that keeps Tahoe’s festive spirit alive with a lively, walk-through celebration filled with colorful floats, live performances, and plenty of mountain Mardi Gras flair.

Every event, big or small, supports the SNOWFEST mission of giving back—raising funds for scholarships, nonprofits, and community programs that make Tahoe such a special place to live and visit.
