Where: Classical Tahoe Ricardi Pavilion, University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe, Incline Village

Classical Tahoe is Incline Village's summer music festival, and the 2027 season runs four weeks, July 10-August 8, 2027. Mainstage jazz and orchestra concerts take place in the outdoor Classical Tahoe Ricardi Pavilion on the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe campus, and the festival is run by the nonprofit Classical Tahoe, founded in 2012.
What Classical Tahoe Is Like
Picture a summer evening in the pines above the lake, a glass of wine in hand, while a full orchestra tunes up under an open-air pavilion. That is the heart of Classical Tahoe. The orchestra is made up of professional musicians who travel to Incline Village each summer, and the 2026 roster drew players whose credits include the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, the San Francisco Symphony and the Zurich Opera House, with more than 75 musicians and guest artists on the program. The mood is refined but relaxed. Most guests dress somewhere around casual chic, many arrive early to settle in, and the cool mountain air does the rest as the sun drops behind the trees and the music carries outdoors. In past seasons, the festival bar opened well before showtime and guests brought picnics to the courtyard, which turns a concert into a full evening out.
Event Highlights
The season opens with the Summer Gala on July 10, and in 2026 the gala paired live entertainment, libations and gourmet dining with a live auction and paddle raise. Next comes the Brubeck Jazz Summit, July 11-16, led by saxophonists Roxy Coss and Lucas Pino. It honors Dave Brubeck with three performances by jazz masters and rising stars, alongside a week of training for up to 30 gifted pre-college musicians. From July 21 to August 8, the Classical Tahoe Orchestra and chamber music series takes over, building to a season finale. The 2026 finale, Beethoven's 7th, sold out. The festival also runs education programs, including a Family Concert and Music Maker's Faire with hands-on instrument stations for kids.
2027 Schedule
Saturday, July 10: Summer Gala
July 11-16: Brubeck Jazz Summit
July 21-Aug. 8: Classical Tahoe Orchestra and chamber music concerts
The concert-by-concert lineup for 2027 will be posted on the Classical Tahoe events calendar. In past seasons, pavilion nights followed a simple rhythm: the bar opened at 5:30 p.m., seating began at 6:15 p.m. and the music started at 7 p.m.
Tickets, Cost and What to Bring
Tickets for 2027 go on sale in stages: renewing subscriptions on March 8, new subscriptions on March 23 and individual tickets on April 6. You can buy online, by phone at 775-298-0245 (Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.) or in person at the campus box office, which opens in July and August and 90 minutes before each concert. 2027 prices haven't been posted yet. Subscribers pay no ticket fees and get priority seating, and new subscribers save 10%. All sales are final, but tickets can be transferred, or donated back at least 24 hours before a show for a tax receipt. A limited number of student tickets are released the Wednesday before each concert weekend. Concerts go on rain or shine, so bring a sweater or jacket and wear practical shoes, since the outdoor venue has uneven ground. In past seasons, food wasn't sold on site, but picnics and local takeout were welcome in the courtyard, and the bar poured wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks.
Parking and Getting There
Mainstage concerts are at 291 Country Club Drive in Incline Village, on the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe campus. In past seasons, the festival has directed concertgoers through the main campus entrance to the upper university lot off Country Club Drive. Incline Village is a 32-mile drive from Reno-Tahoe International Airport and roughly two hours from Sacramento. Concerts in the Ron & Maureen Ashley Oasis chamber series are held at a separate local address printed on your ticket, so double-check before you head out.
Local tip: Popular nights sell out, so if one concert is a must, mark April 6, 2027 for individual tickets, or look at a subscription in March for priority seating and no ticket fees. Plan dinner early too: Incline Village restaurants usually close between 9 and 10:30 p.m., so eat before the show or bring a picnic.
