Winter concert crowd in beanies facing a warmly lit outdoor stage

AT A GLANCE
When: December 11-13, 2026, gates 3-10 p.m. nightly
Where: Base of Palisades Tahoe, next to the Aerial Tram, Olympic Valley
Cost: Three-day GA and VIP passes; ages 18+

Tahoe Live is a three-day electronic music festival at Palisades Tahoe in Olympic Valley, running Friday through Sunday, December 11-13, 2026. Now in its fifth year, the 18+ festival puts a single stage at the base of the resort, and GRiZ, Knock2 and Chris Lake lead the 2026 lineup.

What Tahoe Live Is Like

Tahoe Live is a ski-by-day, dance-by-night kind of weekend. Gates open at 3 p.m., so plenty of people come straight off the mountain, and the crowd builds through the afternoon as the sun goes down over Olympic Valley. Because there's only one stage, you never have to choose between two sets, and you can catch every artist from start to finish. The stage sits in the lot next to the Aerial Tram, about a five-minute walk from the Village, with local food vendors, bars and beer gardens around the grounds. Expect a big, high-energy crowd in puffy jackets and glow sticks, with the snowy peaks around the valley as the backdrop. The festival has grown fast, from a two-day show at Boreal in 2022 to a sold-out three-day weekend at Palisades in 2025, and organizers call this year's lineup the biggest in festival history.

Event Highlights

The 2026 bill is broader than last year's bass-heavy lineup, mixing house, bass and high-energy electronic music. GRiZ, Knock2 and Chris Lake headline, with Madeon, Walker & Royce, Noizu, YDG and T-Pain's Teddy Pain DJ set also on the lineup, along with Cole Knight, Control Freak, Daniel Allan, Devault, HerShe, Mary Droppinz, Nala and more. Organizers have said more artists may be added, and all artists are subject to change. The other highlight is the setting itself: a day on the slopes at one of Tahoe's biggest ski areas, conditions permitting, followed by a show at the base as the cold mountain night settles in.

2026 Schedule

Friday, Dec. 11: Gates 3 p.m., music ends 10 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 12: Gates 3 p.m., music ends 10 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 13: Gates 3 p.m., music ends 10 p.m.

Set times and the artist-by-day breakdown haven't been posted yet. The festival says peak arrival is 5-7 p.m., so getting there earlier means shorter lines at the gate.

Tickets, Cost and What to Bring

Tahoe Live sells three-day passes in General Admission and VIP through Paylogic, the festival's only official ticket seller, and no single-day passes are listed. Prices step up in tiers as each one sells out, and the early tiers are already gone, so check the festival's ticket page for the current price plus fees. GA covers all three days plus access to food vendors, bars and beer gardens, while VIP adds expedited check-in, private restrooms, VIP bars and food, a heated lounge and a private viewing area near the stage. Payment plans are available, every ticket must be assigned to a named attendee, and all sales are final. The festival is 18+ with no exceptions and runs rain or shine. Bags must be 12 by 12 inches or smaller, and you can bring an empty reusable bottle to fill at free water stations. Chairs, blankets, outside food and drinks, and pets other than service animals aren't allowed. Dress for a winter night outdoors with warm layers, a hat, gloves and insulated boots.

Parking and Getting There

The festival is at Palisades Tahoe, 1960 Olympic Valley Road, off Highway 89 between Tahoe City and Truckee. The festival's location page says parking is free all three event days with no reservations required, and that lines up with Palisades' own rule that parking after 1 p.m. is free with no reservation, as space becomes available, even on weekend reservation days. Overnight parking isn't allowed and vehicles left behind are towed, and Placer County's winter ordinance bans parking on public roads in the valley. Rideshare drop-off and pickup zones are marked near the entrance. If you're staying in the valley, the free Mountaineer on-demand shuttle's published winter schedule runs daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. starting December 5, which would cover the ride home after the last set. Hours can change, so check the Mountaineer app that night.

Local tip: Screenshot your ticket before you leave for the show. Check-in means showing your pass on your phone at the gate, and the festival warns that cell service can be limited, so having it saved offline keeps you from a cold wait at the entrance.
