Location:
Carnelian Bay is a small town in the middle of Kings Beach and Tahoe City, and central to activities around the Lake. The famous Gar Woods restaurant is located in the heart of Carnelian Bay and offers a beautiful view and public pier. Next door, Patton Beach has beach activity options. In the Winter months, cross country skiing is available within a short drive. Northstar, Palisades Tahoe, Alpine Meadows and approx. 30 minute drive.
NOTE: Carnelian Woods Amenities: Hot Tubs are Typically open daily in summer and winter, Saturdays only in spring and fall. Pool and Tennis open summer only. Please check website for Spa/Hot Tub hours at carnelianwoods.org
Parking:
Parking is available for 2 cars. No street parking per county ordinance.
Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.
Other things to Note:
* Renters must be 25+
* This is a non-smoking home.
* Pets are not allowed at this home.
* Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 6 adults.
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Use of outdoor furniture is not guranteed in the winter.
* Like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There will be fans available for your use!
* Your safety matters. This property may features exterior security cameras. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras will continuously record video and sound while guests are in residence.

Cute, clean, updated
Super cute, clean, updated. Loved sitting in back patio listening to the leaves rusting in the wind. Not too far from the lake but far enough to enjoy the quiet. Mgmt company was in communication and answered all questions. Would stay here again!

Good Stay
It was a nice stay.
Perfect Location
The perfect location for a wedding at Jake's on the Lake, it is literally a short walk to the lake and restaurants. We really enjoyed the smallbalcony we sat and had coffee and a glass of wine. We cooked in the kitchen one night, which was well appointed. We loved all the personal touches, the welcome package and the comfy bedding and beds. This was a great value and was completely updated. We did not use the pool or other amenities however we did walk around them and they were very well maintained.
Great trip
We had a great time and enjoyed the condo. It had everything we needed and is located very centrally. We were able to walk to some places and easily reached other destinations by car.
Great Place to Stay in Carnelian woods
This place was clean and in good condition. Location is the best, close to restaurants and the beach all within walking distance. Lots of great biking and hiking trails nearby.

Third Stay at Family Condo in Carnelian Woods
This is our third stay and we like the condo but we did not like the changes that have been made. We like the price, location, kitchen, and that it is kept up very well, so overall we like it. But the living room is less and less family friendly and less a place to relax: the coffee table is gone, replaced by two small useless wicker benches, with rounded tops so you can't really place anything on them; the two chairs and couch are too formal to relax in; and the carpet has been replaced with wood floors, which look nice but are colder and not good for a winter with so much snow. Everything else is fine so it is mainly that as a \family\" condo it is not a comfortable place for a family to be able to relax in - you have to go into one of the bedroom to relax. It has been a good place but I think we will look at other properties for our next visit."""

Carnelian Bay getaway
Beach was right down the street and golf and restaurants were close by. As I said - loved the location and unit was just okay.
The townhouse unit was in great location and very clean. Furnishings were very dated. Living room furniture looks nice but is not very comfortable. And despite advertising the pool amenity it was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and only open from 10-4 other days - a disappointment and we never got to the pool as result of a busy schedule. <br/>Beach was right down the street and golf and restaurants were close by. As I said - loved the location and unit was just okay.<br/>
Typical Tahoe rental
The furniture, appliances, bathrooms are right out of the 70's or 80's. This is definitely a Tahoe phenomenon which I'm assuming is due to continued demand that allows the owners to get away with it.
This condo was poorly appointed with a bare minimum of kitchenware.
I have no complaints against Tahoe Rental Company who are nothing but professional and available during emergencies such as losing the key (guilty). One phone call and we were able to get in 5 minutes later.
I will use them again.

Condo as advertised
Very clean condo in very quiet location. Again, very clean clubhouse. We used the hot tub and shower changing room. You could probably drive there, but we chose to drive due to the winter weather. My son and I stayed 4 nights. Everything you’d expect to work did work. Hot water was plentiful, appliances newer and the smart tv we operable. Great stay. I would return.
Birthday get away
Update your welcome book...which stated pool closed Mon and Tues. It is open everyday. Fix toilet on first floor, flapper, toilet not functioning.

Comfy condo within walking distance to Lake Tahoe
Good experience overall with plenty of space for a family of 4. Children enjoyed the upstairs deck and made use of the PS4. Kitchen is stocked with the basics and it allowed us to do some light cooking with ease. Enjoyed drinking coffee on the second floor balcony in the mornings. There were 2 major issues. The first was that the Fridge was not working. We were informed about it prior to arriving. Mini Fridge and large Cooler were provided and it helped compensate for it. The AC was not able to cool the condo despite being set at the recommended settings. We were provided with some fans which helped but it was still quite hot during the daytime.

Ski Week in Tahoe
We were very happy with this condo and it worked very well for us to stay there for our annual ski week in Tahoe; the location was central to the ski resorts we visited. It was a good size for my son and I and was a comfortable layout. It was new, clean, modern, and had everything we needed. There wasn't any real new snow while we were there so parking and the walking path to the unit were both clear and easy to navigate. Tahoe Rental Co. was very responsive to a couple of very minor things that popped up so everything was taken care of. We certainly enjoyed staying here and would again.

We enjoyed our stay very much! We appreciated the updated kitchen and the cooking/serving utensils (more than some rental units include)! The condo is just as pictured and in very nice condition. The only complaint we had was the faucet on the main floor shower was tight. Maintenance came to check it the day we reported the problem but (evidently) there was nothing they could do. The faucet in the other bathroom shower worked well so not a problem! The condo is quiet, well located and we would stay there again!

Our stay was during the outbreak of numerous California fires which made for a few smoky days around the lake. The rental was spacious, clean, and had numerous amenities we didn't anticipate (like the PS4), so we were able to relax and enjoy each others company and visit to Tahoe. We enjoyed eating at Garwood's (fun cocktail's to select from), Sugar Pine Bakery (great sandwiches), and of course Tahoe House (best coffee). We swam, rock climbed, hiked and even won a little at the slots. Check in was easy and we added an additional night's stay which was made easy by the rep in the rental office. The staff was also helpful in orchestrating the return of an item we left behind. Will look forward to another stay at this rental through this agency.
