Ullr Fest at Diamond Peak returns Friday, January 29, 2027, from 4-8 p.m. at the base of the ski area in Incline Village. The annual Ullr Fest Parade and Community Party is an all-ages winter night named for Ullr, the Scandinavian god of winter and snow, and it raises money for the Diamond Peak Ski Team, which is run by the nonprofit Diamond Peak Ski Education Foundation (DPSEF).
What Ullr Fest Is Like
Ullr Fest feels like a small ski town throwing a party for its own. As the light fades on a January evening, families, longtime Incline locals and ski team parents fill the Base Lodge Deck and spread out across the snow in the base area. Plenty of people show up dressed in their best Ullr attire, since Ullr is considered the patron saint of skiers and there is a costume contest later in the night. Snowcats groom the parade route while the food court and bars get busy, a bonfire crackles on the snow behind the deck, and there is music and a raffle going the whole time. Almost everything happens outside, so the cold air is part of the experience, and the payoff is watching a line of torches wind down the mountain in the dark. It is a community fundraiser at heart, and it shows in the best way.
Event Highlights
The bonfire is lit at 5 p.m., and a few minutes later the Diamond Peak Ski Team marches through in its boot parade. The main event is the torchlight parade on Show Off at 6 p.m., best watched from the Base Lodge Deck or from the snow in the base area. Around 6:45 or 7 p.m., the costume contest and raffle wrap up the night on the deck. Ullr hats are sold while supplies last, and a portion of food and drink sales from the Loft Bar, Base Lodge Provisions, Wild Bill's BBQ and Lightning goes to the ski team.

Cost and What to Bring
Admission and parking are both free. Food, drinks, raffle tickets and merchandise are sold separately, and Base Lodge Provisions, the food court, is fully open for the night. The Loft Bar Deck is set aside as VIP reserved seating, though Diamond Peak's page doesn't say how to get it, and everyone else can watch from the Base Lodge Deck or the snow in the base area. Dress for a winter night outdoors, with warm boots, gloves and layers, since most of the activities and the parade viewing happen on the deck and in the base area. Bring your best Ullr costume if you want a shot at the contest.
Parking and Getting There
Diamond Peak is at 1210 Ski Way in Incline Village. From Highway 28, turn onto Country Club Drive and then onto Ski Way. Standard parking is free, and the lots can fill on busy days, so check Diamond Peak's Mountain Report for capacity updates. RVs aren't allowed, vehicles need to fit a standard space and overnight parking is prohibited. TART buses serve Incline Village and Crystal Bay, but Diamond Peak's published 2026-27 ski shuttle schedule has its last return trip from the mountain at 4:30 p.m., before the evening gets going, so plan on driving or carpooling for this event.
Local tip: Get there close to 4 p.m., when raffle tickets and Ullr hats go on sale at the Base Lodge Deck. The hats are only available while supplies last, and arriving early leaves time to grab dinner and claim a viewing spot before the bonfire at 5 and the torchlight parade at 6.
See the latest schedule on Diamond Peak's Ullr Fest page.
