Location:
Downtown Tahoe City with an abundance of great restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, etc. Take a stroll down the river path (bike and stroller friendly) with miles of comfortable walking or biking alongside the Truckee River, and past Lake Tahoe. Commons beach in downtown Tahoe City has a large playground great for kids, grassy lawn, and beach area for relaxing and taking in the sights of the lake and surrounding mountains. Miles of easily accessible paved bike/hiking trails minutes from your front door. Up for some adventure, try the river rafting down the Truckee River. In the Winter months, the closest ski resorts include Granlibakken Resort, Homewood Mountain, Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, and Northstar. Cross country skiing is closeby and rentals are available at Tahoe Cross Country Ski Area. Please visit our website and follow our “Tahoe Guide” with updated things to do in your specific area.

Parking:
Parking is available for 4 cars at the home. 2 cars in the garage and 2 cars in the driveway. All cars must park on the driveway. No street parking per county ordinance.

Other things to Note:
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Due to the temperate climate, like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There are plenty of fans available in the event that we have an unusual hot spell.
*Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.
* Dog Friendly: Maximum number of dogs allowed is 2, additional fees apply per dog.

*Renters must be 25+
*Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 8 adults

I loved staying here for the winter. This home is perfectly located for skiing Palisades. On busy weekends, it would take us 25 minutes, and for spring weekends, only 15 minutes! This home is also designed beautifully for entertaining, fostering late night chats beside the fireplace, and hanging out with the kitchen as the heart of the home, not the television. Would love to stay here again!

the house and accommodations were great. also the service was excellent. I would suggest having a laminated card in the kitchensaying there is recycling - we just noticed the information in the notebookwhen it was too late, (ie blue bag verses white trash bag)

Overall, I loved this beautiful house and its location. The amenities, including a hot tub, were great!One thing that bugged me was that the front deck rails were broken, and it was closed off by mesh. This should have been repaired prior to our arrival.

The house is clean, nicely decorated with high quality fixtures and amenities. Kitchen has plenty of supplies and cookware. The backyard and deck areas are beautiful and a great place to watch birds and enjoy the view. The bear box was stuffed to the gills when we arrived so upon departure we had to remove the other people's trash and reorganize all the garbage to fit ours in as well. At first we weren't sure we could fit it and spent an hour researching trash facilities the night before departure. We couldn't find an open trash place so spent the time re-organizing all the dirty trash. Kind of a bummer but we made it work.

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, nice, had great amenities, and in a quiet neighborhood. Close to Tahoe City and close enough to beaches on West and East shore, which is where we spent most of our time.

We had a wonderful time in Lake Tahoe! The house was beautiful, clean, great lay out, convenient location, and had a well-stocked kitchen. The rental company was very responsive with a couple of issues we did have (issues were not a reflection of the house). The recommendations and information shared by the owner/rental company were helpful.

All Good - we were eight people and had a great t time. great kitchen. Hot tub was great. The garbage piled up because our rental started on a Wednesday and the management company didn't put out the garbage. So our bins outside were full from the beginning.That was the only snag. I had to wait until dusk and sneak my garbage bag into the neighbors' cans. ha ha nobody saw me.

Please read my yelp review under sheryl l. It will tell the whole story. Liked many things but was not as clean or in good condition as I would like. Also way o stingy on the products supplied. I had to buy so many things like soaps, comet, sponges, dish soap, coffee, paper towels, napkins, list goes on a d on.

We came up to Tahoe for a wedding and had a wonderful stay at Cedar Retreat in Tahoe City. The house was lovely and very comfortable for our family. We were close enough to walk to coffee. We loved the location and the quietness of the neighborhood. We would definitely stay there again.

Great Rental but run down

Its a a decent rental. It is a little run down. The shower upstairs leaked into the master bedroom ceiling downstairs which was a bummer. The hot tub is top notch. Wrap around deck is a great place to hang in the summer. We enjoyed our stay overall. I reached out to the management company telling them the shower is leaking into the bedroom downstairs. They said they will send someone next morning and no one showed up. We were down a bathroom the whole trip because we were being more responsible than the management company lol. We were pleased with the space overall. The owner needs a new management company. Secondly, I requested the management company to kindly get us a highchair and a pack n play which is a reasonable request if you are paying ~1000 per night (peak summer rate) They started telling us about the added fees. I just brought my own pack n play /highchair which was a pain. When we showed up the garage had the items (2 high chairs and a pack n play). The management company just didn't want to tell us about those items and wanted extra fees which was disappointing. Again, I would cringe working with the "Tahoe Rental Company" in the future. They leave a bad taste in your mouth.

This was my second stay in a different home on Holly. The location continues to be a great launch point between Tahoe City and a multitude of sport and eating establishments. As with the home my family stayed at last year, this new home was just as beautiful and spacious. The property management team once again ensured all of our vacation needs were met. Thanks again for making this most recent stay a memorable one for my family.

We had a great experience at this house. It's in a fabulous location and the house has a great layout with new amenities. The only drawback was that the stove burners were not working and they needed to be lit manually, which we did not realize for the first three days.

My family and I had a delightful stay at the Cedar Retreat over the Thanksgiving holiday. The property management company was easy to work with and always available to answer questions. The house was amazing! Everything in the house was top notch, from high end beds and bedding to a completely stocked large kitchen. The fourth bedroom was private and next to the TV room which was very handy for our daughter’s family with a new baby. The jacuzzi was so nice given the cooler weather. The location was great, in Tahoe City and walkable to the lakeshore. The neighborhood was beautiful. We look forward to returning in the spring or summer to do some of the many hiking trails in the area. Thanks for making our holiday such a wonderful one!
