Description

Large Pet Friendly Home- Chamberlands Pool and Beach- One Block from Trails. Our large 5 bedroom home is perfect for large families. The large open living area has tons of seating and a cozy fireplace. Located close to major hiking trails and ski resorts. Includes access to Chamberlands pool, beach, and tennis courts in summer. Great mountain charm and is perfect for large families. Featuring a large open living room connected to an open kitchen and dinning area on the top floor with tons of seating, a flat screen TV with cable and a cozy fireplace. Our backyard features a large deck with views of the forest, which is perfect for summer BBQ's. Downstairs you will find all of the bedrooms including a large "kids" room with 6 twins and a huge TV. Our home is dog friendly!

LOCATION:
Our home is located on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe on a quiet street in the Chamberlands neighborhood. We are one block from the popular Paige Meadows Trailhead, which provides easy access for hiking and biking in the summer, and snowshoeing, cross country, and sledding in the winter. During the summer, you have access to Chamberlands private beach, pool and tennis courts. Ride bikes to the beach or take the shuttle bus that conveniently runs all day. Access to Emerald Bay is just a short drive away. For winter guests,our home is located 5 minutes from Homewood Ski Resort and a short drive from Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley Ski Resorts. Olympic quality cross country trails are just a short drive away at Ed Z'berg Sugar Pine Point State Park.

* Due to the temperate climate, like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There are plenty of fans available in the event that we have an unusual hot spell.
*Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.

*Renters must be 25+
*Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 12 adults

Great Tahoe summer getaway for large group

The house easily accommodated 12 people. The bedrooms were quiet and comfortable, and the kids’ room was a huge hit (the pictures don’t do it justice). We enjoyed morning coffee and happy hour on the decks, and cooking dinner in the kitchen (which is generally well equipped; if you need a sharp knife, bring your own). The location was super convenient to the Chambers Landing beach and pool (we took the shuttle - easy, quick, and no need to worry about parking). We were there during a heat wave, but the house was nice and cool and we arrived to several running fans. The property company was responsive and very helpful rescheduling our stay when we needed to postpone due to fires and smoke.

We found the property to be spacious, open and well equipped, kitchen was a great size. We love to barbecue and eat outdoors in Tahoe as a family. That's always been important. Unfortunately, the large deck appeared to be unsafe. We did not spend too much time on the deck. The deck furniture also needed some repair. That had an impact on our experience.

His and hers bathrooms (because I can't be the only woman who doesn't want to share a bathroom with men!) and a powder room upstairs. Backed up to wilderness and it was just perfect. Tons of games. We stayed here for two weeks with our 2 boys and 4 adults. There is a great sledding hill just a stones throw away and the home was wonderfully stocked. From the kitchen to linens. WIFI service is faster than I have in the Bay Area! We will definitely be returning. One suggestion would be to get a bigger/more comfortable couch upstairs.

We had a wonderful experience! Love this place! Our only suggestion is to maybe replace the twin bed mattresses outside the built-ins in big room. Kind've hard to sleep on. Of course we could bring mattress toppers.This is a great place for a fairly large number of people. Love being able to use the Chamberlain pool! Love the cabin and location!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Homewood property. The number of bedrooms provided more than enough beds for our group, the kitchen and living room/family room spaces were perfect for our needs for meals and family time together.

We were headed to the eastern sierras to go camping when the Donnell Fire broke out. Our gps had us loop around through Tahoe. We stopped at 4 campgrounds from S shore to the W Shore. All booked. With 8 kids, my mom, brother in law and dog with us I finally saw this listing available! They got back to us quickly and were so helpful getting us into the house. We have stayed here before and there’s a large room for 6 kids to sleep together. Many upgrades have been made to the house. Location is great. The shuttle picks you up and takes you right to Chambers. So much fun! There were 2 bears roaming the neighborhood at night. We saw them and were thankful for the electric wires on the windows and doors downstairs.
We are so happy we could take care of you on such notice and your family had a great time! The Bears have been very rambunctious this summer.
