Beautifully constructed home located in the quiet neighborhoods of Lake Tahoe's west shore. A gourmet kitchen, sleeping for 8, games to enjoy, and more are offered at this beautiful getaway home. Close to beaches, ski resorts, and restaurants. The unique entry boasts 20’ ceilings with stone and hardwood floors. Plan to dine in, with a gourmet kitchen and bright dining area for eight. The great room features a large stone fireplace and full entertainment center. The large deck off the great room has seating for 6 + a full sized propane grill- it overlooks the quiet and private backyard.

The spacious master bedroom has a romantic fireplace, large television and a quiet sitting area, as well as a jetted tub in the ensuite bathroom. Perfect for a relaxing morning or evening. There are two more bedrooms downstairs and family room with a large television, games and a wet bar. Take a minute to soak in the eight person hot tub off the lower deck and enjoy the fresh air of the outdoors after a day on the slopes or at the beach. Minutes from skiing, hiking trails, and beautiful beaches.

LOCATION:
Our home is located on Tahoe's West Shore in the town of Tahoma between Homewood and Meek’s Bay. It is a true escape from a busy life, but only minutes away from everything you need. In summer, Tahoma offers access to beautiful beaches, biking and hiking as well as being minutes away from the Chambers Landing Bar and Grill, which is located next to a nice sandy public beach. Or venture a few miles south to Sugar Pine Point State Park to enjoy fishing, sandy beaches, historic tours and more hiking trails. In winter you will enjoy being close to popular ski resorts and snow shoeing trails.

Quiet Hours are 10PM to 8AM

Parking: Parking is available for 4 vehicles max. All cars must park on the driveway. No street parking per county ordinance.

Other things to Note:
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Due to the temperate climate, like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There are plenty of fans available in the event that we have an usually hot spell.
*Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.

*Renters must be 25+
*Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 8 adults

Halcyon House is situated on a quiet, dead end street in Tahoma, steps away from trails at Sugar Pine Point State Park., and a few blocks from the bike path. The rooms and living area were very spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had a nice pantry to store our food, and had everything we needed for cooking.The jacuzzi and ping pong table were an added bonus!

Gorgeous, but needed toiletries. Property management was great.

We had a magical experience watching the snow from m the comfort of this home. We were ‘snowed in’ for the first day of our stayed, and enjoyed every minute of it. The views allowed us to enjoy the snow within the comfort of the living areas. Hot tubbing in the snow is incredible. Walks along the snow filled streets was enchanting; the forest is everywhere here.We were impressed by the tasteful design and decor, and were able to prepare and serve gourmet meals easily, as the kitchen is amazing. The deck looks out upon the forested backyard. We look forward to returning for some summer fun.

Halcyon House is a great house. It was extremely clean, a definite plus. We enjoyed the hot tub and fireplaces. Kitchen is well equipped with everything necessary. It would be nice to have some board games, which we like to enjoy on vacation, so that was a bit of a disappointment. Overall, a 5 star rental.

We had a great stay at the Halcyon House. Rented for a ski weekend - ~25-30 min drive from Alpine/Squaw. Clear instructions were sent prior to our start date, and also provided inside the house. Everything was clean, and provided good space for our group of 6. We enjoyed the hot tub, fireplaces, and large kitchen space, plus outdoor yard was great for the puppy our friends brought.

This is our second time staying at the gorgeous Halcyon House in Tahoma. We absolutely love it, and it feels like our home away from home. They do a fantastic job at making sure everything is clean, and everything you could need is there. The layout is wonderful- it has a spacious master with a fireplace and soaker tub in the bathroom. On the same level you have the huge kitchen and living/dining room. Downstairs there are 2 more good-sized bedrooms and a full size bath. It is close to Tahoe City (20 minute drive) and Tahoe House Bakery (everything there is delicious) and it isn't far from awesome places like Eagle Rock and Emerald Bay. The last time we stayed the owners even reached out and contacted us, and the rental company is awesome to work with. We can wait to go back and would highly recommend this gem to anyone looking to stay in Tahoe. The only down-side, you will never want to leave.

We come to Lake Tahoe every year and are familiar with the area. This was our first time renting the Hacylon house and I can honestly say I’m hoping it won’t be our last. It was absolutely gorgeous. You felt right at home. It has a private hot tub, is dog friendly (which is what we were looking for), had everything you could possibly need (just add groceries) and was located near some of our favorite things to do. It was clean, comfortable and such a great place to come back to after a long day of fun. The kids loved having their own little yard right outside of their private balcony and we loved everything about it. It was easy to book and we were sent awesome trip reminders and info along the way. We could not be any more happy and are just sad the trip has already ended. If you are looking for a great family or group place to stay, I highly recommend renting here.

This house was perfect for ourselves and adults children. We also had some pets with us and it worked well for them too. The master bedroom and bathroom were great. Having 2 different living spaces upstairs and downstairs was nice too. This house was well equipped with things we could use..shovels, snow gear. I would recommend this house for bigger groups and families. It was on a quiet street which made it nice. Since there was snow around us we did not venture out much but had lots of room to enjoy our stay. I hope to go back sometime.
