Description

Take your next Lake Tahoe vacation to this Tahoe City vacation rental. The inviting home features all the Tahoe musts - fireplace in living room, large deck with a full lake view, proximity to beaches, bike trail to Tahoe City, and close access to prime mountain resorts.

Located in a quiet Tahoe City neighborhood, there are three popular California ski resorts less than a 20 minutes from the home. The home is also near Skylandia Beach, pleasant trails, and the bike path to Tahoe City, The Tahoe Cross Country Center is about a mile away and has an activity for each season - cross country skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. It is less than 5 minutes by car from Tahoe City, which has Lakefront cafes, shopping, Commons Beach, and the Tahoe City Golf Course.

The main floor's living, dining, and kitchen area has a full lake view from the south facing wall of windows! The open floor plan provides a great place to gather indoors and sliding glass doors open to a large deck. The kitchen has all the amenities you will need to enjoy your stay. In addition to the gorgeous fireplace to warm up beside, you have cozy furnishings and decorations throughout. The south facing deck provides a full lake view and will be a pure joy with a morning cup of coffee or good book. There is enough seating at the dining table to accommodate 8 people and for nice family meals and with two supermarkets available in Tahoe City, you can stock up on your way in and you may never want to leave!

Ten people (two families or a group of friends) will have lots of space to sleep here. On the main floor, you'll have 1 bedroom with a king bed. The lower floor features the master bedroom with a private bathroom and two additional bedrooms - 1 with a queen bed, and 1 with bunk beds and an additional twin bed. There is also a additional family room with TV and full bathroom on this level.

Location:
While the kids (and a few grown-up kids) have a snow day on the property's yard, perhaps others will want to venture out to the local ski spots like Pacific Palisades, Homewood, or Northstar at Tahoe. On a summer day, you will be only a few minutes from beautiful lake beaches or take the bike path to Tahoe City. For a night out, explore the restaurants in Tahoe City or travel to Crystal Bay in Nevada for cocktails and games of chance.

Other things to Note:
* Parking is available for 4 cars total. All cars must park on the driveway or garage. No street parking per county ordinance
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Due to the temperate climate, like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There are plenty of fans available in the event that we have an unusual hot spell.
* Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.
* Renters must be 25+
* Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 10 adults
* This is a non-smoking home.
* Pets are not allowed at this home.

We had an amazing time on our girls trip to Tahoe. We spent the majority of our time on the deck taking in the view and sharing fun stories. We each had private spaces and found the home very comfortable.

We had an amazing time, beautiful view, spending time on the balcony, enjoying the stunning quiet nature around us. A bear walked around the house, he almost walked up the lower balcony stairs, but I made noise upstairs, so he instead walked closely around the house, next to the garage and main entrance and wandered along the street in the middle of the day. I think a bear fence would be nice to feel more safe. The king mattresses were both too bouncy (if one person moved at night, the other would bounce up and down and wake up :-) and gave us back pain. New pots and pans would make cooking a little easier.But we would come back in a heartbeat! The house is beautifully located and has a bedroom on the same level as kitchen and living room, which is so helpful when having walking limitations!Thanks you very much for opening your home!!!

Very well equipped cabin with plenty of room for 10 guests. We had a great time and were very happy overall. Excellent location in the Tahoe city with a great view. Some feedback is that it can get quite sunny in the living room since there are no curtains/blinds. It also tends to be quite dry with the heating.

We liked the set up of the cabin, with the living room and kitchen upstairs featuring a grand view of Lake Tahoe. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking essentials. ( the panel on the dishwasher needed to be reattached.). The one problem was the rock hard memory foam bed in the upstairs bedroom; this needs to be replaced!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Holley House. The VIEW is a stunner. We sat out on the deck everyday and very much enjoyed our time in Tahoe. Also, its a nice walk down to Skylandia State Park, close to trails at the cross country park, and Sugar Pine Bakery is walking distance for a coffee and breakfast treat. The furnishings are older, but the home was clean and had all the amenities that we needed.

The highlight of Holley House is the lake view from the deck. It is gorgeous. The house itself provides ample accommodation for two families. The fireplace provides a cozy area for the kids to hang out with board games at the end of the day. The homeowners have stocked the garage with firewood, so there is no need to make firewood runs.

We enjoyed this vacation house very much! It had enough space and beds for three families and very welcoming decorations and accommodations. The balcony had a great view of the lake. The family room downstairs gave our kids a great play and study area, and the spacious living room allowed everyone to lounge together. We had a wonderful and unforgettable time here. We will definitely come back to this house for our next trip to Tahoe.
