Location:
Tahoma offers access to beautiful beaches, biking and hiking as well as being minutes away from the Chambers Landing Bar and Grill, which is located next to a nice sandy public beach. Or venture a few miles south to Sugar Pine Point State Park to enjoy fishing, sandy beaches, historic tours and more hiking trails. In winter you will enjoy being close to popular ski resorts and snow shoeing trails.

Parking:
There is parking available for 3 vehicles. All cars must park on the driveway. No street parking per county ordinance.

Other things to Note:
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Due to the temperate climate, like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There are plenty of fans available in the event that we have an usually hot spell.
*Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.

*Renters must be 25+
*Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 6 adults

The property was decent but needs a proper furniture and fixtures upgrade. Except for the beds, all other furniture was not comfortable at all. The dining chairs were wobbly, so the sofa was worn out and didn’t feel clean. Center table was not stable. Utensils in kitchen were with chipped and broken. Though they had a lot of stuff in kitchen the cups and plates were chipped. The fridge wasn’t clean specially water dispenser. There was a huge crack in the window in upstairs bathroom which I felt could be dangerous as it felt like it could break anytime. The fans in the rooms would make a weird thumping noise all night which made it hard for us to sleep. We also had issues with hot water during the first 2 days of our stay. The property manager sent someone to check, and they said the owner had vacation mode turned on for the water heater; he changed it to on, and we should get hot water after 30 minutes. We waited for a couple of hours but still no water. We thought it might take more time so went about our day and return at night only to discover still no hot water. We called the emergency line, and they sent someone the next day again to fix, they did something (which, of course, the first person didn’t), and we got hot water, and we could finally take a shower after 2 days. It was a frustrating experience as when we spoke to the property manager the next day, they blamed us for not informing us sooner instead of being considerate. Should we just sit in the house all day and wait all day instead of enjoying our vacation?!? The upstairs bathroom had some leakage under the sink, which we didn't notice until last day. Overall avg trip and experience, will not be recommended unless there is a considerable upgrade made

I love this cabin. Super cozy, perfect location. Has every kitchen utensil you need. The hot tub was great. Soft comfortable beds and great water pressure. I am definitely renting this place again

We had a great time visiting Lazy Bear Cabin. The house was a great size and fit for our family. We got tons of snow which was so fun. Kitchen was stocked bathrooms were clean. We had to spend a night at our friends down the road because we lost power one night due to weather. Some personal suggestions; update candles/flashlights for when the power goes out because it did for a long time, clean downstairs carpet, update couches and downstairs bedroom furniture.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lazy Bear Cabin! The cabin is spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed. Check-in and out were very easy to follow.We ended up being pretty much snowed in most weekend but we did not mind since the place was very comfortable, had plenty of games and fast internet to keep our 2-year entertained throughout the weekend. Our only regret is that the weather did not permit us to use the hot tub but we will be back again to take full advantage of what looked like a great backyard.

The house was nicer than I expected. Didn’t get to really enjoy the vacation due to wildfires and so most things were closed due to the smoke. Wish I could of changed my dates but I knew I probably wouldn’t been able to.

Truly a lazy bear cabin :)

We stayed here for a week with two families. The house is very comfortable, spacious bedrooms, mattresses are great!Kitchen has everything you need. Backyard is amazing, has a jacuzzi tub, large hammock, large dinner table and a small play structure with swings. Large grassy area to play. Chambers Landing beach is two mins away and is absolutely gorgeous. Might be our favorite Tahoe spot!Would definitely return!
