Description

Enjoy your stay at this large home in Tahoe City. Ideal for extended family or reunion. Home has both a family room and a living room with great separation for dual family time. The main floor's living, kitchen, and dining area, where you will gather while indoors, has an open floor plan with floor to ceiling windows. The cozy living room has a woodstove and a door to the large sunny deck with peek views of Lake Tahoe. The kitchen offers all upgraded amenities. On this level you will also find a primary bedroom with a king bed and a large ensuite bathroom.

Located in a quiet neighborhood in Tahoe City you are near trails less than 1/2 mile from the home for hiking, mountain biking, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing in and around Paige Meadows. In fact, you will find trails from here to the PCT. You are only a few minutes by car from West Shore Market and Fire Sign Cafe or to downtown Tahoe City.

Ten people (two families or a group of friends) will have lots of space to sleep here. The lower floor features four additional bedrooms. One with Queen bed and ensuite bathroom, another with Queen bed, one with twin beds, and one with bunk beds. The family room on this level has a huge comfortable sofa, gas fireplace, and sliding doors to another large deck.

Bring your snow clothes and enjoy the small sled hill right outside the front door. Your kids will spend hours outside in the snow enjoying the snow.

Location:
While the kids (and a few grown-up kids) have a snow day on the property's yard, perhaps others will want to venture out to the local ski spots like Homewood or Palisades at Tahoe. On a summer day, you will be only a few minutes from beautiful lake beaches. You may choose to grab a latte and breakfast at the charming Fire Sign Cafe. For a night out, explore the restaurants in Tahoe City, which are less than 5 miles away.

Other things to Note:
* Parking is available for 4 cars total. Two in the garage and two in the driveway. No street parking per county ordinance
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Due to the temperate climate, like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There are plenty of fans available in the event that we have an unusual hot spell.
*Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.
*Renters must be 25+
*Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 10 adults
* This is a non-smoking home.
* Pets are not allowed at this home.

Spacious cabin with lots of amenities

Cabin was even bigger than expected. Had a great time with toddlers and friends. Kitchen was well-equipped, and there were numerous games and some toys in both of the large family rooms. Location was convenient for skiing and grocery shopping.

We enjoyed our family vacation in this large beautiful property. There was plenary of room for all of us. In the winter I would highly recommend a AWD or 4x4 vehicle unless you are very proficient putting on chains. The property is located up a 12% grade hill that recommends chains when the road is covered in ice and for good reason, ask me how I know.

Lovely,roomy,comfortable home with the greatest views of the tall tall trees! Lake Tahoe is so very close, and visible with peekaboo views through the trees, from the home. Beautiful walking trails in town, by the lake. Great place to visit!

The house worked well for us. A few suggestions: kitchen needs blinds/shades (very hard to see on sunny mornings). Kitchen needs a salad spinner. Extra linens were appreciated. Overall, an excellent property.

Too much of a good thing kept us away.

We were really looking forward to staying at this rental with our group. Unfortunately, we never made it up to Tahoe. The weather so so severe, roads were closed, and the threat of avalanches, and roofs collapsing under the weight of snow, all of this played a factor in our choice to stay safe at home. Maybe this spring we can plan another (first) stay here.

We enjoyed our annual trip to the snow, and appreciated all of the amenities of this house. It's on a quiet street and had a little hill where the kids could sled. The kitchen was well-stocked for families who like to cook and everything was clean and well organized. Would stay again!

Our stay couldn't have been better. The owners left detailed information about the house and surrounding areas. The house is gorgeous, clean and spacious. I enjoyed using the kitchen - everything we needed. The views were breathtaking. We enjoyed a hike up the mountain and enjoyed the views. The lake is totally magical, and we took a boat out on the lake. Lots of great dining in town and we took some tours around the area. We are planning to go back next year!

This delightful Tahoe vacation home is special. Our family and another stayed for a long weekend in March and took full advantage of the private, spacious location away from the hustle and bustle yet still near to Tahoe City. The house has a welcoming great room with fireplace, open to the well-appointed kitchen and dining room. Sleeping quarters are separated nicely, so late-night adult conversations did not keep the kids awake in their bunk room. The location is great for snow-shoeing, and since several people in our party didn’t ski, this was a pleasant surprise. Between the snow-shoeing, building of “snow folk,” baking cookies and making meals together, watching a movie, playing board games (there were many to choose from on the shelves) and generally hanging out in front of the fire, we had a fun and peaceful time in this quiet mountain location. There was an exceptional amount of snow when we were there, which made it feel like a winter wonderland! The owners gave extremely clear driving directions and house instructions, and plenty of local information. A “10 out of 10” experience!!
