Our lovely vacation home is nestled in the woods on Lake Tahoe's West Shore, featuring a spacious open floor plan with a gas fireplace and vaulted ceilings creating an excellent place for entertaining and/or relaxing. The great room is open to the living room, dining area, island bar seating and kitchen; making it very easy to enjoy the company of everyone in one location. You will enjoy the large south facing deck to enjoy your morning coffee or just to breathe the fresh mountain air. Take a soak in our hot tub after a long day on the slopes or at the beach.

LOCATION:
Our home is located on Tahoe's West Shore in the town of Tahoma between Homewood and Meek’s Bay. It is a true escape from a busy life, but only minutes away from everything you need. In summer, Tahoma offers access to beautiful beaches, biking and hiking as well as being minutes away from the Chambers Landing Bar and Grill, which is located next to a nice sandy public beach. Or venture a few miles south to Sugar Pine Point State Park to enjoy fishing, sandy beaches, historic tours and more hiking trails. In winter you will enjoy being close to popular ski resorts and snow shoeing trails.

Tahoma Trails Lodge is also only 7 miles from Tahoe City (15 minutes), where you can enjoy more restaurants, beaches and shopping. We are 5 minutes from Homewood Mountain Ski Resort and 15 miles (about 25 minutes) from Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows Ski Resorts. We are also 5 minutes from Sugar Pine Point State Park, which offers 5 groomed XC ski trails during the winter.

Note that we are close to Emerald Bay, Meeks Bay, Desolation Wilderness, the Rubicon Trail and many other West Shore attractions.

This was our first time in this location of Tahoe! This rental was amazing. It had everything that we needed for ourselves, our kids, and our dogs. Plus a hot tub. We arrived to a spotless rental with a bottle of wine, a dog blanket, and some dog toys waiting for us. We were able to set up our Apple TV to watch whatever we wanted, including Netflix movies. Great location with a yummy pizza place just down the street. Easy access to hiking trails and lots of fun. No complaints, would recommend this place to anyone!

Our ski weekend was amazing partly because of your beautiful home.

The level of detail you've placed in making your home comfortable was definitely noticed and appreciated by all who stayed. We had a wonderful time staying at Tahoma Trails Lodge. The home was spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook with plus the hosts left us a bottle of wine to complement our dinner! We could cross country ski into Sugar Pine Point State Park and then use the hot tub to soothe those tired muscles! We really appreciated having a garage since we had a lot of snow when we stayed there and the neighbors were really friendly, too!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Tahoma Trails Lodge. The location was perfect for cross country skiing at Sugar Pine Point State Park because you don't have to drive there! We just skiied down the street and into the park. We also enjoyed the hot tub after a day of skiing. The house is spacious and the kitchen has everything you need for making delicious dinners, which we like to do when we're in the mountains. We also appreciated the garage as it was a very snowy time when we stayed at Tahoma Trails.

We picked a weekend in the middle of the snow storm with so many roads closed for days! So, our normal 90 minute drive took 8 1/2 hours!!!! The house was beautiful and clean, we were just doing a family get away with the kids/grandkids. I loved that the master was on the main floor and the kids rooms were downstairs. They had so many amenities for us to use, very thoughtful hosts and they even left us a bottle of wine and a doggie toy/blanket for the littles! We had to shovel snow a lot, but that isn't anyones fault, it was just the weather! We took a walk to the lake, but it was pretty cold. Yet it made for great family memories! We will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Terrific home. We were very comfortable (3 couples and 2 dogs) with plenty of space in and out (hot tub). We arrived to a very clean and well appointed home. Only thing missing in the kitchen was a salad spinner, otherwise all the tools and cookbooks needed for great meals. And, West Shore Pizza (walking distance) was awesome! Would have been terrific to have a complete fence for the back yard (for the dogs) but the neighborhood was great to walk in and all the folks we met were terribly nice! The mud room was a great touch - towels and heated to clean everyone from the snow and rain outside. Comfy beds, lots of books/games, good WiFi. Overall one of the best and most comfortable homes we've rented. Look forward to returning!!

Had a terrific vacation at Tahoma Trails - 3 couples and 2 dogs fit just fine, whether hanging out watching TV, playing games (provided at the home) or in the hot tub. Very, very clean upon arrival, and kitchen is very well stocked with all the good quality tools we needed (except a salad spinner). We brought most of our food, but the grocery in Tahoe City was quite nice, and West Shore Pizza at the bottom of the hill (walking distance from the house) was outstanding! Great neighborhood. Street cleaning after a huge storm took a day or so, but mostly flat streets were manageable. Would have been terrific if the backyard fence was up on all three sides, but our dogs got used to where they were allowed to go. Loved the heated mud room, and the fact that dog towels were supplied. They really thought of most everything to make our stay easy. Look forward to staying here again!!

Clean house, all the amenities of home. We had a great time. Only request would be for the backyard fence to be intact. Rusty from the Property Management was very helpful.

This such an amazing home in Tahoma. It's in a great neighborhood that's super quiet with friendly neighbors and when you walk around it has that smell of camping outdoors. The house is super nice! My family was so surprised that we got such a gorgeous dog friendly home! The beds are comfortable, there is absolutely everything you could need or want in the home. The jacuzzi hot tub is super nice as well! The location is great- a quick drive to Tahoe City.<br/> Close to Bliss State Park for excellent hiking. Two small grocery markets nearby. There's a pizza place at the w trance of the neighborhood- we didn't try it but heard from others that it was really good!<br/>We would<br/>Definitely rent this home again- it was comfortable and nice and really well<br/>Maintained. There was even a hammock in the large back yard! <br/>

We had a really pleasant stay in this lovely Tahoma neighborhood. The bedrooms were cool in the mornings and evenings, and the shared kitchen/dining/living space kept the whole family together. We enjoyed eating our meals on the deck and taking a dip in the hot tub after our lake swims. The kitchen was equipped with a great knife set and so many useful cooking appliances. We also liked how "dog-friendly" the home was. Our only concern was that the main room tended to get warm from the morning sunrise and through the day, so we put our standing fans throughout the room to keep the air moving and had the windows open in the night. Overall, we had a great time and really appreciated all the thoughtful details and aesthetics of the home!

We were the first renter at the home and it was the best we have experienced of all the places we have stay in Tahoe using VRBO/HomeAway. The Home was well equipment with the full kitchen. We love the welcoming Wine. The home obviously was very clean given we were the first renter. All the equipment and bedding, lining, suppliers are newly bought from Ikea, we noticed :). The neighborhood was very close to Homewood Ski Resort; 7 mins to be exact of a drive. Highly recommended for a stay in West Tahoe.

Great time! The property managers were very responsive, they even had a dog goodie bag upon check in... loved the new decor and the fact that we had three bathrooms. Kitchen was very well stocked and had nice touches (asian soup spoons & citrus squeezers!) for somebody that cooks. We had a nice storm and love how the west shore embraces the snow, good cross country skiing even in the neighborhood. Would be a huge plus if the backyard was secured (for the dogs) as our husky likes to run, but the deck was a nice 2nd to a yard. Would stay again!

We stayed at Tahoma Trails Lodge for a week in June and were so happy that we did! The home is very well appointed with everything that you would need for a week away. Lots of cookware, and dishes, a BBQ, hot tub (but we didn't use it), a washer and dryer and lots of sunlight! We were just around the corner from a great hike that leads to a lily pond and just a short drive to some wonderful beach areas and more hiking! I highly recommend this wonderful property!

Would be a huge plus if the backyard was secured (for the dogs) as our husky likes to run, but the deck was a nice 2nd to a yard. Would stay again!

Access to Sugar Pine trails, close to Bliss and Emerald Bay. Wonderfully appointed kitchen and nice clean and cozy cabin. Great place to relax!

We had a great stay at Tahoma Trails Lodge. We were 4 adults and 3 children and there was plenty of room. The house was very clean and well-stocked with everything you could need. I highly recommend this rental!!

We stayed at Tahoma Trails Lodge for a week in June and were so happy that we did! The home is very well appointed with everything that you would need for a week away. Lots of cookware, and dishes, a BBQ, hot tub (but we didn't use it), a washer and dryer and lots of sunlight! We were just around the corner from a great hike that leads to a lily pond and just a short drive to some wonderful beach areas and more hiking! I highly recommend this wonderful property!

We were the first renter at the home and it was the best we have experienced of all the places we have stay in Tahoe using VRBO/HomeAway. The Home was well equipment with the full kitchen. We love the welcoming Wine. The home obviously was very clean given we were the first renter. All the equipment and bedding, lining, suppliers are newly bought from Ikea, we noticed :). The neighborhood was very close to Homewood Ski Resort; 7 mins to be exact of a drive. Highly recommended for a stay in West Tahoe.
