Skydiving is an experience, you just cannot compare to anything else. You can’t say its like “this” or like “that”, like a roller coaster or like flying. It’s just something so unique unto itself, you have to try it to know what we are talking about. Skydivers have a saying “we know why the birds sing…”
Tandem Skydiving is by far the most common way to experience skydiving for the first time and any time you don’t want to go through extensive training to be able to jump by yourself. With the Tandem skydive you get to experience all aspects of skydiving in the capable hands of a highly experienced and qualified instructor. You get the thrill and excitement, the fear and the fun while someone takes you through the process and you don’t have the added worry and stress of doing it all by yourself.
Once you have finished your paperwork, you will have a short training from your tandem master (instructor) on what to expect and what he needs from you. Then, you’ll be ready to “gear up”. He will get you in your harness and he will put on the rig (parachute) and you’ll be ready to go. Your instructor will be with you every step of the way until you are safely back at the office. As you can see from the photos, you are harnessed to the front of the Tandem master for the actual jump.
An incredibly scenic ride to jump altitude precedes your exit from the plane and entry into the exciting world of freefall! Once your freefall is over the fun continues as you fly back down under your parachute and land back where you started.
